Enhancing My Friends' Self-Worth
Overview
Psychology suggests that there are four areas that
are pertinent to building a healthy self-worth.
1. Belonging
2. Uniqueness
3. Purpose
4. Hope
These topics are also very theological. This one-day,
eight-hour training uses these four topics along with a lot of
creative activities as a way of helping youth discover that they
are the answer to helping others enhance their own sense of value
and worth.

What people say and how they use this
Bob White along with others at Wittenburg University
in Ohio uses "Enhancing My Friends' Self-Worth" as the
framework for Sister Camp, a weeklong experience developed for
young adolescent girls.
Lianne King uses "Enhancing My Friends' Self-Worth"
with her advanced Peer Ministry Group. This is great
material, it definitely strikes a cord with teens. We had some
of the best prayer time with this years group.

My Friends Self-Worth Facilitator Guide by Lyle Griner
This was written after years of working in churches and leading
retreats on Self-Worth. Youth always need to know and hear that
they are valued. Adding Peer Ministry concepts greatly adds to
the effectiveness of the learning process. Youth find purpose
by being given a purpose, namely helping others.
