I wanted to take a moment to let you know I LOVE your Heart Ignite book. The book has taken my prayer life from nearly non-existent (Well, I talk to God while driving and doing daily tasks, but I wasn't so good at taking time out for God.) to a growing prayer life. It is transforming my youth group and my church. I went to your prayer workshop at Extravaganza 2003 and I found it very moving. When your book was published, I bought one for myself and three for the church. I then went to Wal-Mart and purchased a large Rubbermaid tub and began filling it with items to do about 3/4 of the prayers in the book. (I also created a Prayer Box for my own home.) Then I printed numbers on the computer for the prayers we could do. At Youth Group, we draw a number out of the coffee can and that is the prayer we do. (That way I don't have to plan -- very nice). Recently the youth group and healing ministry made a 20-foot prayer labyrinth painted on canvas. I designed it so that we could use different activities from your book as meditation tools. Last week we had a prayer event for the National Day of prayer and used 10 of the prayer activities and the labyrinth. We had 1 family and 6 adults come for the prayer experience. They were refreshed and felt at peace when they left. Thank you so much for compiling these prayer ideas into one book. There are experiences in the prayer book for young and old and that's what I like about it. Every chance I get, I tell people about this book.
