If you are hosting training in your area you will be interested in the following ideas for inviting others.

• Set clear objectives for your area. What needs can Peer Ministers meet? Be able to communicate the hopes of these objectives clearly.
• Invite local churches, campus ministry leaders, camp directors and church school leaders.
• Personal invitations are always the most effective.
• Pick a date that you know will work for at least 6 to 8 participants before you advertise. Encourage each of these people to bring at least one more person to the training.
• Set the date far enough in advance so that people can make plans. Realize that training is a big commitment and that people will need to rearrange their schedule to participate.
• Most people need to hear about an event several different ways before they will be interested. Get an announcement in as many newsletters as possible.
• Be positive. Let people know you are expecting a good turn out

Ways to use them:

• Make posters for your room.
• Put up the quote of the week.
• Link your web sight to these.
• Use to enhance your leading a session.
• Put each on a separate sheet. Lay them in the middle of your group. Ask each person to pick one and share his or her thoughts.
